Oct 24, the hosts from Kratts' Creatures are going to be there--Kratts'
Creatures is a PBS NATURE show for kids... I'd like to get at least one
other person to leaflet for a couple of hours with me then!

OCT 23, 24: RUCKUS TRAINING FOR WTO ACTION

Ruckus is offering a training this weekend: Sat 9--7 (dinner + party); Sun
9--5. At the Faculty Glen, North East corner of UC Berkeley campus. Call

your affinity group!!!

Oct 24: Zap the Gap in Santa Cruz!!!

Sunday Oct. 24, 12 noon. Outside the Gap at Santa Cruz Mall on Pacific St.
From Redwood Mary: Join  other passionate forest defenders and  animal
rights, human rights, and labor activists in taking a stand for the
protection of all life! Bring drums, signs! Help send a message to the
Fisher Family that it is not cool to destroy redwood forests in Mendocino
and Sonoma Counties! Let's let them know that those who sew their clothes in
Saipan need a decent living wage and better working conditions! We will
distribute informational flyers to the public.

Oct 26: Organizing Meeting at Global Ex for WTO Action!

Activists meet every other Tuesday at 7 PM at Global Exchange (2017 Mission
at 16th, SF)  to plan for the Action of the Millenium. These are great,
super-charged meetings that result in progress toward a GREAT series of
ACTIONS in Seattle this November! BE PART OF IT!!!

Oct 30: FREE HALLOWEEN CONCERT for WTO Action!

Oct 30, 2--6 PM, MLK Park, Berkeley (one blk west of Berkeley BART). This is
going to be a TERRIFIC EVENT with mask-making, face-painting, &
banner-making by Art & Revolution. Music by Mobius, Diane Patterson, Company
of Prophets, and Lynda Williams. Tabling and speakers that inspire and
mobilize us to take action to END CORPORATE RULE, starting with the WTO
Action in Seattle this November 30! So, Join the Bay Area Progressive
Community and TURN OUT FOR THIS EVENT!!! Come in Costume!

Nov 04. Benefit Video Screening for WTO Action in Seattle!

This is a benefit for the Independent Media Center (IMC) which will cover
the WTO protests. They have a great line-up of action videos planned!

Nov 05: "Dump Bob Fisher from the NRDC!" GAP Action!!!

All of Our Favorite Fishers Are On the Natural Resources Defense Council
(NRDC) Benefit Committee: Don, Doris, Bob, and John--and Bob Fisher is still
on the NRDC Board of Trustees.

Fri, Nov 5, 6:30 PM, 888 Brannan St, SF. The NRDC annual fundraiser. The
theme is Save Wild California, and ticket prices come in 7 categories named
after endangered species: from $100 (Abalone) to $5000 (Gray Whale).

***Note that Coho Salmon, Marbled Murrelets, and Northern Spotted
Owls--endangered species on that little piece of Wild California that the
Fisher Family is destroying in Mendocino and Sonoma Counties are not
mentioned.*** However, we will be there to point this out...

JOIN US TO BUST these hypocritical BILLIONAIRES and the OVERSIZED
NON-PROFITS THAT SERVE THEM!!!!

Nov 06: Joint-Action Against Gap, Inc!

Nov 06: Marin Benefit Concert & Potluck for WTO Caravan!

Anselmo. A benefit for activists going to the WTO, co-sponsored by
Reclaiming, Marin Headwaters Action Group, a task force of the Social

Nov 10. Carnival Against Genetic Engineering + Fax Action!
